The Cowichan Challenge takes place at Fuller Lake Park in Chemainus. The race has a friendly, relaxed vibe just the like the community where it takes place

The swim is in the calm waters of Fuller Lake. The bike course follows scenic country roads in the Cowichan Valley. The run is on trails in the Municipal Forest adjacent to Fuller Lake.

Race Distances

Standard Course – 1500m swim – 40K bike – 10K run

Sprint/Junior Course – 750m swim – 20K bike – 5K run
Aquabike – 1500m swim – 40K bike
Youth 6/7 – 50m swim – 2K bike – 500m run
Youth 8/9 – 100m swim – 4K bike – 1K run
Youth 10/11 – 150m swim – 6K bike – 2K run
Youth 12/13 – 200m swim – 8K bike – 2K run
Youth 14/15 – 300m swim – 10K bike – 3K run

2024 BC Sprint Triathlon Championships

The Sprint race at the Cowichan Challenge is the 2024 British Columbia Sprint Triathlon Provincial Championships. The winner of each age group will be crowned BC Sprint Age Group Champion.
